Well, yes it is. They have them there which means it is legal. If they didn't then someone would surely have complained by now, and would have earned lots of money from the law suite too. Unless, there's a glitch or loophole in some law and you can find away to get through to them and win the case. Make sure if you do that you get them out of the men and also your's as well, because we do are not in favor of them anyway.

Yes it's legal, as long as the camera shot doesn't 'sneak a peek' over a cubicle door.

Yeah, I think it is legal… or at least I heard that somewhere. You're technically on private property and, while they can't monitor you while you're in the stall, they can monitor to make sure nothing bad is going on on their property.

In the UK? 100% legal. People have been filmed in their bedrooms shagging and it was legal here. Go figure the logic in that.

the answer is yes and no its illegal if no signs are there to indicate a camera is operational this is law all times it would be also illegal to infringe on someones privacy eg inside the cubicles but its only like a shop they have cameras everywhere except in the cubicles where people change

Sadly it has become necessary because some women have been physically assaulted or raped in these areas; some have got into brawls and others have been so blind drunk that they have collapsed there. It is a security measure, not big brother spying on the way girls put on their make-up.

It is legal and crazy if you ask me. The many times I have been to my local nightclub toilet area and thought (drunkenly) that it doesn't matter if I just pull out this really annoying wedgie coz I really didn't think clearly when I decided to wear this teeny tiny thong…. Then I spot the sign saying, this area is fitted with CCTV! Oh the embarrassment! Next they will be installing closed circuit microphones to listen to our conversations!

It's called voyeurism and illegal. I do not know what else the ladies do in the hand washing area but it is still illegal

They're there for your protection.
I once worked on the 7th floor of a building in Hong Kong. One morning a colleague , who was wearing a wrap-round skirt, said 'I came all the way here with my skirt inside out.'
I looked at her and said, 'But it's not inside out now.'
'No, I changed it in the lift.'
'I guess you never noticed the CCTV camera!'
I was a bit worried about the Security man. He wasn't that young and it was only 8.00 am.

It is legal, do I like it? Not necessarily. We have lost nearly all our privacy in the Western world.
