Over 4 million cameras, being retro-fitted w/speaker systems. Yelling out orders to people like a concentration camp. Doesn’t sound like V for Vendetta at all.
If you want people to be nice or clean up more, have it a point for every citizen to do public service much like some country’s requirement for military service.

Fine for this particular report BUT– if the city CCTV surveillance wanks in this video are anything like that ones that I’m researching through Freedom of Information, they have no oversight (none at all “no responsive records”) –no one looking into their conduct and operations. Here in Ontario, while the average mall guard is subject to provincial standards, Code of Conduct -and especially a provincial complaints process, municipal “in-house” guards are exempt from accountability. AND act it.
